2007 Policies

Thousand Oaks Golf Club is pleased to offer private and corporate events in our full-service banquet facility. We understand the importance of your event or special occasion and look forward to assisting you in all aspects of your event.

The Host is responsible for the conduct of their guests and assumes all responsibility for any and all damages to or loss of property from the function rooms or other areas of the Club caused by their guests, invitees or independent contractors affiliated with the function.

Arrangements for menus and other details must be finalized fourteen(14) days prior to your event with your Event Coordinator.

A final guarantee of the number of attendees is required seven(7) days prior to your event. This guarantee is not subject to reduction. In the event the guarantee is not received, the original estimated attendance indicated would be prepared and billed.

In the even that your guarantee decreases significantly, the restaurant reserves the right at any time to relocate your group to an appropriate size function space and/or apply a room rental fee.

If your event requires a Tent, you are responsible for the cost of all rental items needed to provide your event with the proper service. All rental items will be handled through Thousand Oaks Golf Club.

In the event you require an outside function, the buffet menus are served only.

In the event a choice of entrees is requested, (3 choice menus required for groups of 16 or more and all guests must have the same accompaniments of their menu choices), a guarantee for each entrée must be provided and guests must have some visual means of identifying their choice of entrée, e.g. color-coded place cards or different color name tags. The menu price is dictated by the highest priced entrée if not guarantee is provided.

There will be a $2.00 per person SURCHARGE for items such as Chocolates and/or Perishables brought into the Club. Wedding and Specialty Cakes are available by our Chef with 14-day notice. The Club is not responsible for any of these items brought in.

It is not permitted to package and release any food or beverage that is not consumed during a scheduled event or program.

All prices are subject to change within three(3) months of your event. Food and beverage prices are subject to 6% sales tax and a 20% service charge.

Thousand Oaks Golf Club, as the licensee, is responsible for sale and service of Alcoholic beverages. We take seriously the responsibility to serve alcohol with care and therefore reserve the right to refuse the service of alcoholic beverages at any time to anyone.

The State of Michigan prohibits the sale of alcohol to any person under the age of 21 years. All guest must be able to provide proper identification to consume any alcoholic beverage.

Guests agree to pay applicable service charge and state sales tax. If your group is tax exempt, a copy of the Federal IRS 501C certificate must be provided. Tax will appear on contracts, checks and billing but will be subtracted after authorization. Tax-exempt certificates must be submitted no later than to weeks prior to your event.

The Club will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of articles left in Thousand Oaks Golf Club before, during or after your function. In the unlikely event and any damages to the Club or Golf Course should occur as a result of your function, the guests' organization shall assume responsibility and all costs associated with these damages.

For the month of December special circumstances will require a guarantee number of 60 or more to rent our upper level banquet room for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Room rentals will not be waived in the month of December. Smaller groups will be moved to our main dining room for your event.

Only professionally made signs are permitted in the Club. The Club strictly prohibits adhering of items to walls, door moulding, etc. No confetti is allowed and all candles must be in a holder and the flame must be enclosed

When a deposit is required for and Event, the amount is applicable toward the final bill. Should cancellation of the Event be necessary, THE DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED unless another Event can be booked on the original date and time. Room Rental Fees are based on the room(s) requested and length of time the room(s) will be in use. Fees are contingent upon final plans.

Thousand Oaks Golf Club is pleased to offer off-site catering. A $100 Chef charge will apply to have meals prepared and plated to your home or place of business.

I agree with, and will adhere to the above banquet policies. I will notify the Special Events Coordinator with my menu selection/arrangements fourteen(14) days prior to the Event and seven(7) days prior with my final count.

Tentative confirmation of the Event's date is effective as of receipt of this agreement by the Lessee. Deposit and signed copy of the Contract Agreement must be returned to the club within 30 days in order to retain the Event's date. If not returned, this contract is voided.
